NHS Newham CCG Constitution
The Health and Social Care Act stipulates that all CCGs must have a Constitution and all member practices of the CCG must sign up to it. The Constitution is a public document which can only be changed upon application and agreement from NHS England.
The Constitution sets out how the CCG will discharge its duties and functions including all aspects of governance. It sets out the arrangements made by the CCG to meet its responsibilities for commissioning care for the people for whom it is responsible.
The Constitution details the governing principles, rules and procedures in the day to day running of the CCG.
It applies to:
- Member practices
- Individuals working on behalf of the group
- Board, Committee and Programme Board members
